Not sure which story to begin?
The Scriptorium Sampler contains the opening letter from three of our correspondence stories, giving you three worlds to step into before deciding which one you might like to follow further.
Inside your sampler, you will receive:
Rue St Claire — Letter One
Paris, 1898. Eveline has left England behind for a new life in Paris, where she has taken a position at a fashionable atelier. New friends, new freedoms and a city quite unlike the one she left behind await her.
Thistlebright — Letter One
A boarding school, a missing girl and rather more going on behind closed doors than anyone seems willing to admit. Fifteen-year-old N begins writing home about life at Thistlebright — and the mystery she cannot resist investigating.
Silverwake — Letter One
The year is 1718. Step into the opening chapter of Silverwake, a story of adventure, danger and life upon the sea.
Each story is accompanied by the extras and ephemera included with its first instalment.
Choose how you receive your sampler:
The Scriptorium Sampler is available as either physical correspondence through the post or as a digital PDF edition delivered by email.
With the physical edition, you will receive all three letters and their accompanying story extras and ephemera, ready to open and explore. Postage is included.
Alternatively, choose the digital edition and PDF versions of all three letters, together with their accompanying extras, will be delivered directly to your email inbox.
There is no subscription and no commitment to continue. The Sampler is simply an invitation to open three envelopes, step into three different worlds and discover which correspondence you would most like to receive next.
Should one of them capture your imagination, their story can be continued from Letter Two through The Scriptorium Letters.
Perfect for lovers of snail mail, historical fiction, mysteries, unusual bookish gifts and stories that feel just a little more real when they arrive through the letterbox.
